Lavender Hot Chocolate

Ingredients:


Instructions:

  • In a small saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until it starts steaming, approximately 5 minutes. Avoid boiling the milk.

  • Add the finely chopped chocolate to the steaming milk and whisk continuously until the chocolate is fully melted and the mixture turns smooth.

  • Gradually whisk in 1 tablespoon of the Willamette Valley Lavender Syrup along with a pinch of salt. Taste the mixture and add more syrup if desired for additional sweetness.

  • Pour the prepared hot chocolate into mugs and optionally top them with whipped cream. For an extra touch, garnish with a sprinkle of lavender flowers.

Tips:

  • For a creamier texture, you can substitute 1 cup of milk with 1 cup of heavy cream.

  • Experiment with different types of chocolate, such as dark or white chocolate, to customize the flavor according to your preference.

  • Enhance the taste by adding a dash of cinnamon or nutmeg on top of the whipped cream.
