Where is the farm located?

We are located in Canby, Oregon, in the heart of the Willamette Valley, just a short drive from Portland, Lake Oswego, West Linn, Wilsonville, Oregon City, and Salem.

Is admission free?

Yes—admission and parking are free. Our plants and products are thoughtfully priced, offering direct-from-the-farm quality at fair prices.​​

Do I need a reservation?

No reservation is needed. Simply visit during open farm hours.

Workshop registrations and photography sessions require advance booking.

 

Is the lavender in bloom?

Yes. We grow a diverse collection of lavender cultivars that bloom at different times throughout the season, typically during the month of June and sometimes early July.

Visitors can enjoy our large U-Cut lavender area, which is designed to provide beautiful blooms throughout the season, as well as our extensive test garden featuring many unique varieties. The test garden is especially popular for photography and selfies.

In addition, guests can view our larger commercial lavender fields from designated visitor areas. These fields are harvested at specific times for culinary lavender, fresh and dried floral products, and essential oil production, allowing visitors to experience an authentic working lavender farm during harvest season.

Can I Cut My Own Lavender?

Yes. Visitors are welcome to harvest lavender from our designated U-Cut area during bloom season.

We grow many varieties of lavender, allowing guests to create their own custom bouquet. Harvesting tools are provided, and we are always happy to share tips on selecting and cutting the best stems.

U-Cut lavender is available while supplies last and varies throughout the season based on bloom timing and harvest conditions.

 

What can I expect during my visit?

You can enjoy a relaxed, open-farm setting with lavender fields in bloom, U-Cut lavender, farm-made lavender lemonade, Gatto Gelato ice cream, access to our greenhouse shop, handcrafted products, and a peaceful countryside atmosphere.

 

Do You Host a Lavender Festival?

Many visitors discover us while searching for lavender festivals in Oregon or the Willamette Valley.

While we do not host a large-scale festival, we offer a quieter alternative. Throughout bloom season, the farm is open for U-Cut lavender, workshops, shopping, refreshments, and relaxed visits among the fields.

Located on a peaceful country road, our farm is naturally suited to a slower pace and a more personal experience. This allows visitors to enjoy the countryside, wildlife, farm animals, and beautiful lavender fields in a relaxed setting.

As working teachers and farmers, Mike and Sandra enjoy having the opportunity to meet, talk with, and share their love of lavender with visitors throughout the season.

Can I Take Photos? Is There a Fee?

Yes. Casual photography is welcome and included with your visit at no additional charge. If you share your photos on social media, we would love for you to tag us: @willamettevalleylavender.

If you are planning a portrait session, engagement photos, family photos, senior portraits, commercial photography, workshops, styled shoots, or any other organized photography session, advance booking is required. This applies whether the session is paid or unpaid.

Our lavender fields are a working agricultural space, and reservations help us coordinate access around harvesting activities while ensuring an enjoyable experience for all visitors. Photography fees also help support the farm and help provide fair wages for our seasonal farm team.

Can I bring food or have a picnic at the farm?

Yes. Guests are welcome to bring a simple picnic to enjoy during their visit.

Lavender lemonade, Gatto Gelato ice cream, and other seasonal refreshments may also be available for purchase.

We kindly ask that all items are packed out to help us keep the farm as beautiful as you found it.

Is this event family-friendly?

Yes. Families are welcome.

Please note that this is a working farm and we do not have dedicated children's activity areas. Children must remain with an adult at all times.

 

Is this event pet-friendly?

Pets are not permitted during bloom season.

As a licensed culinary lavender farm, we maintain strict standards for our growing and harvest areas. We also strive to create a safe and comfortable environment for all visitors, farm animals, and wildlife.

We appreciate your understanding and encourage you to leave your furry friends comfortably at home while you enjoy your visit.

 

Are there restaurants, coffee shops, or brunch spots nearby?

Yes. There are several wonderful cafés, coffee shops, bakeries, wineries, and brunch destinations nearby if you would like to make a morning or afternoon of your visit.

Many guests enjoy combining their lavender farm visit with other local Willamette Valley experiences.
